Working hard for KidsCan

On Friday, 17 October a dozen staff from the Auckland Sales Team headed out to the KidsCan warehouse in Albany to lend a hand.

Each term, KidsCan provides food, raincoats, shoes and healthcare items to low-decile schools throughout New Zealand so that Kiwi kids can concentrate on learning.

KidsCan relies heavily on volunteers to do this work. The Ricoh volunteers split into four teams and proceeded to stack baked beans, boxes of muesli bars, tasty nuts and fruit pottles as well as yoghurt sachets and makers onto pallets—resembling life-size Jenga!  The pallets were then plastic-wrapped and loaded onto the trucks.

Pretty tough work, but the teams completed 73 pallets that morning!  Very rewarding, knowing that our efforts were appreciated and that the final school term would see children fed and supported.
